Acid Mothers Temple (which as an achronym spells AMT) is a collective of dozens of members with discography about a mile long. I'd say a good 2/3 of it i can't get into no matter how high i get. This Live LP is my favorite though and a good starting point for beginers.

OOH, good one. This is my favorite as well, or at least it's the most comprehensible. I like Absolutely Freak Out! as well, but only because of reasons mentioned by your description. No matter how high I get, they are still higher, and freaking me out, bad.
