I was talking with Alfie from lennon studios one night and she said she had piles of old demo tapes from when she used to run The Chatterbox, a bar on Valencia street in the 80's, now known as the ultra hip Amnesia. In an earilier conversation I mentioned Hickey, and The Fuckboyz being some of my favorite bands from the city. Next time i saw here she had this setting aside for me to rip and post. This demo must have been from about 1989, and seems to pretty much be the Rock'n'Roll problem 7" without the song Rock'n'Roll problem (which is quite possibly my favorite song of all time). Sounds like the exact same recording of hullucinating and full of sin, but with a bit better sound quality than the 7". The third song is "Think of Me" which i've never heard on anything else, and isn't the best song of thiers, but still an interesting listen for anyone who's liked this band.
By the way, Alfie has a really interesting documentary for sale on dvd, Called "Chatterbox, biography of a bar", with tons of live footage of long forgotten punk/metal bands in mission district from 1986-1990. go to www.chatterboxbar.com to order.
