I don't this is the proper cover, the album here is not "Banana Moon" but "banana" an outakes collection from Daevid Allen's banana moon band. The band existed for a minute after the breakup of The Soft Machine, and before the inception of Gong. What's here is some tripped out rock from the twilight years of the British psychedelic scene. The lyrics are bluntly juvenile, with songs like "rich girl" and "pretty miss titty". Psych rock on the edge of proto-punk.
I saw a flyer for this guy playing some show in the mission a couple years ago, but I avoided it like the plague because it was some burning man decompression party.
