The A side of this record kills with Black Fork and Dead and gone. The b side makes this record ridiculous. How can you front so hard as to copy the This is Boston not LA
cover and equate the west bay to Los Angeles when fucking AFI is on your comp. In the liner notes it credits "Lint" with backups on the AFI track. Lint, funny it sounds like the guy singing for rancid on MTV. They're talking about the guy from Operation Ivy, way punk.
I can think of dozens of remarkable bands from San Francisco and the Peninsula from 1994. None of them got famous, rich, or landed Hot Topic endorsement deals. Quite a few of them them are dead, drug addled, in jail or destitute. Who's fucking LA now?
