Like Sly And the Family Stone, PG&E was a bi-racial soul band form San Francisco. Pg&e Never hit it big though, probably because their studio albums were too experimental hippie nonsense for the masses (or even people like me) to listen to . This album however, is stripped down to the basics and kinda sounds like a cross between live Otis Redding and the MC5.
