Pere Ubu is a band of brilliance and eccentricity, like chuck berry warped by nuclear fallout. David Thomas' wierd warblinmg vocals dance over Peter laughners mutated rock'n'roll licks in a grim wasteland of fear and confusion. The modern dance is thier first album and is like nothing you'd expect from Cleveland Ohio in 1978.
