I got into Pantera in elementary school when I checked out a copy of Far Beyond Driven from the redwood city public library. What a cool place! Who else would let a 11 year old barrow a tape with a picture of a giant drill bit going up somebodys anus! The music was brutal as the cover and the lyrics were far to disturbing for my pre pubescent mind to even grapple. I loved it, but later pushed it aside when it became the soundtrack of the jocks who liked to call me faggot in high school. Little did they (or I at the time) know that Pantera was once a fruity glam metal band with teased hair and spandex pinched falsetto vocals. This is the stuff that helped me reintegrate pantera into my life and pave over some emotional turmoil. Thanks Diamond Darrell. RIP buddy...
