The Cliftons were a rowdy as fuck band from san jose. They were all scummy older skater dudes who played something like a tighter F.Y.P without the young innocence. There was no cover for this in the first place, i think it was their first demo, released in '01.

ha! one of this bands first shows was with chia vajina (the short lived noise/grind band i was in with chubby and antonio) at warm water cove. they actually had a song that went "i need some pussy, i want some pussy! I WANNNA FUUUUUCK!" they also smashed a brand new guitar just to look cool, and me and my tweaker buddies had to wrestle the broken guitar out of their hands so we could salvage the usable parts off it. our set was next and, naturally, we ripped them a new one and made them feel like the obnoxious suburban wanna-bes they were, but years later i see the singer at a party and he's super mellow and said that he really learned alot that day. whatever.
and yes, i do write these lengthy comments while bored at work, i don't have THAT much time on my hands.
haha, i never heard that. Back in san jose music was harder to come by so we took what we could get, doucheness was all relative.
